Poroshenko: There can be no discussion on changing Ukraine’s state border

Ukraine will not change its state border, and all information in this regard is untrue.
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said this at a mobile border detachment in Bortnychi on Tuesday when checking the readiness of border units to take measures as part of the implementation of his peace plan for eastern Ukraine.
“The state border passes and will pass through the line that was fixed by international agreements and recognized by the international community… There can be no discussions and agreements on allegedly transferring or moving the state border,” he said.
He said that all interpretations in this context were political speculation.
He called on “some politicians not to regard as a new state border line” the two separate fortification lines (a buffer zone), a deep echelon defense and sanitary line to prevent the penetration of sabotage and reconnaissance groups.
