Poroshenko, Putin responsible for whole of Europe – Steinmeier

German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier has called on Russia and Ukraine to cease the hostilities.
He told this to Spiegel Online, Deutsche Welle reported.
“The presidents of Ukraine and, first and foremost, Russia bear the greatest responsibility in this situation – not only for their people, but also for the whole of Europe,” Steinmeier said.
He also added: “We are talking about preventing the formation of a new Iron Curtain.”
“If further dramatic aggravation can still be prevented, then both sides now have to make decisive steps towards a lasting ceasefire and effective border control,” Steinmeier said.
The latest reports from Moscow and Kyiv on direct talks are “good news.” However, in his opinion, it is necessary to wait for real results.
