Poroshenko liquidates Constitutional Assembly

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko eliminated the Constitutional Assembly.
A relevant decree was published on the website of the Head of state.
“Taking into consideration a decision of the Coordination Bureau of the Constitutional Assembly of July 15, 2014, No. 22, on stopping the activities of the Constitutional Assembly, in compliance with Item 28, Part I, Article 106 of the Constitution of Ukraine it is resolved to liquidate the Constitutional Assembly,” the document reads.
The decree takes effect from the date of publication.
The Constitutional Assembly in the time Yanukovych was preparing to reform the Constitution. It was led by First President of Ukraine Leonid Kravchuk.
