Poroshenko finally severs relations with Customs Union

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has signed a decree disbanding the working group on the development of cooperation between Ukraine and the Customs Union of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan.
This is stated in decree No. 701 of September 2, which was published on the website of the head of state.
“In order to optimize the system of consultative, advisory and other support agencies and services established by the president of Ukraine, in accordance with Paragraph 28, Article 106 of the Constitution of Ukraine, I decree to eliminate… the working group on the development of cooperation between Ukraine and the Customs Union of Belarus, Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation,” reads the decree.
In addition, the head of state liquidated a number of committees, including the council of experts on Ukrainian-Russian relations, the council of the regions, the working group on analyzing compliance with the legislation on freedom of expression and protection of journalists, and the council on ensuring the implementation in Ukraine of the Threshold Program of the Millennium Challenge Corporation to reduce the level of corruption, the group on studying issues related to the optimization of the system of central executive bodies, the group on reforming criminal justice, and the group on the creation of new energy supply routes through Ukraine from Azerbaijan.
