Poroshenko, Biden discuss anti-Russian sanctions, Minsk implementation

Ukrainian President Petro Porosheko has had a telephone conversation with U.S. Vice President Joe Biden to discuss the implementation of the Minsk peace agreements on Donbas and sanctions against Russia.

”The parties discussed the elements of the `road map` on the implementation of the Minsk agreements for ending the occupation of Donbas. Poroshenko and Biden also agreed that sanctions against Russia must be continued,” the presidential administration reported on Wednesday.

In the course of the conversation, the parties also touched upon the course of reforms in Ukraine.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin has acknowledged that the `notorious sanctions` have had an impact on Russia, and their major threats are limitations on transfer of technologies.
