Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko says that another 25 Ukrainians who have been held captive in Donbas may return home soon, according to the presidential administration.
”We are on the homestretch concerning the terms and conditions of their return,” the presidential press service quoted Poroshenko as saying in an interview with TV Channel Inter.
In his words, all resources were used for their return, in particular, Ukraine has held negotiations in the Trilateral Contact Group and in the Normandy format.
He told Inter he would prefer not to call any dates, surnames or make promises.
A representative of the SBU Security Service of Ukraine reported earlier that there were 114 Ukrainian captives in Donbas, while 655 people were recorded as missing.
