Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott discussed cooperation in nuclear energy at a meeting in Australia, Bloomberg has reported, according to UNN.
“The Ukrainian president and the Australian prime minister discussed the possible purchase of Australian uranium by Ukraine. Poroshenko invited Abbott to visit Kyiv next year,” reads the statement.
As reported, for the first time in Ukraine’s history the head of state arrived on a two-day state visit to Australia, where he will travel to Melbourne, Canberra and Sydney and hold talks with Governor-General of Australia Peter John Cosgrove, Prime Minister Tony Abbott and others senior officials.
