Poltorak becomes Defense Minister

The Verkhovna Rada appoints Stepan Poltorak Defense Minister.
245 people’s deputies voted for this decision.
Before, deputies dismissed Valeriy Heletey from this position by 293 votes.
To remind, Sunday, President Petro Poroshenko dismissed Valeriy Heletey from position of Defense Minister and proposed Poltorak the next day.
Stepan Poltorak became the fourth Defense Minister over the recent year.
Poltorak is Commander of the National Guard of Ukraine, former Commander of the Internal Forces of Ukraine, Colonel-General.
