First Deputy Chairman of the Pension Fund of Ukraine Mykola Shambir has stated that the Pension Fund`s deficit amounts to UAH 156 billion with the total budget of the Fund estimated at UAH 285 billion.
”A total of UAH 156 billion of state budget funds has been earmarked. Now it [the subsidy in 2016] amounts to UAH 40.3 billion. Total budget of the Fund is planned at UAH 285 billion,” Shambir said during a meeting with representatives of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine.
He noted these figures have been included in the draft law on the 2017 state budget, which the Ukrainian parliament plans to consider during the current session week, October 18-21.
Shambir also stated that the bills envisage the extension of a provision according to which pensions for working pensioners will be paid at a level of 85%.
