Parliament changes administrative system of Luhansk region

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has adopted two draft resolutions on amendments to the administrative and territorial system of Luhansk region, which were filed by Ukrainian MP Hennadiy Moskal.
A Ukrinform correspondent said that MPs had voted for a draft resolution on changes to the administrative and territorial system of Luhansk region, changes on setting the borders of Novoaidar and Slovianoserbsk districts in Luhansk region, as well as Perevalsk and Popasna districts.
Both resolutions received 236 votes in favor.
Moskal said that in these resolutions the issue concerns not a change in the territory of Luhansk region, but the subordination of the lands of one district to another, which is controlled by the Ukrainian army and in which a local administration and treasury services are operating.
