Over 1.2 mln people from Donbas relocated to other regions

Over 1.2 million people have been relocated from the temporarily occupied territories of Donbas to other regions in Ukraine since the beginning of the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) in the east of Ukraine in April 2014, the press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine told an UNIAN correspondent.
According to the report, internally displaced persons (IDPs) include 169,408 children and 498,677 people with disabilities and the elderly. Of all the IDPs, there are nearly 1.7 million people from Donetsk and Luhansk regions, and 22,142 people from the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine says that local executive authorities are constantly searching for premises suitable for IDPs. Nowadays, 647 objects of various forms of ownership have been identified for the accommodation of 10,990 IDPs.
