OSCE monitors in Ukraine cannot reach Bohdanivka, cross bridge in Shchastia: areas not demined

The officials from the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine could not get to the Ukrainian government-controlled Bohdanivka and could not cross the bridge to Shchastia, according to the Mission`s Twitter.

The OSCE SMM reported that the monitors had failed to pass to Bohdanivka because no mine clearance was done in the respected area.

”SMM still cannot cross the bridge to Shchastia from the side of the `LPR` – landmines and barricades,” the OSCE SMM reported on Twitter.

As UNIAN reported earlier, on September 21 a Framework Decision of the Tripartite Contact Group on Donbas settlement was signed in Minsk on disengagement of forces and hardware in three areas along the contact line.

The document stipulates that the condition for the start of disengagement in Stanytsia Luhanska, Zolote and Petrovsky is the observance of a cease-fire regime for seven straight days.

Disengagement shall be conducted under the monitoring of the OSCE SMM to Ukraine.

Today, October 2, the press secretary of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine for the ATO Oleksandr Motuzyanyk said that disengagement was achieved only in the area of Zolote while fighting continues in the other areas.
