Obama, Tusk to demand that Russia leave Ukraine

European Council President Donald Tusk and U.S. President Barack Obama have discussed joint efforts on settling the crisis in eastern Ukraine.
This issue was discussed during a telephone conversation between the two leaders, according to Ukrinform’s correspondent in Brussels.
“We shared our concerns over the crisis in Ukraine and agreed on how important it is for Russia to withdraw from eastern Ukraine, to stop supplying troops and equipment, to allow effective control of the border,” Tusk said after the conversation.
The European Union and the United States continue to work together, including by imposing sanctions against Russia and providing financial assistance to Ukraine.
The leaders also discussed the further strengthening of ties between the EU and NATO, the global economic situation, the fight against Ebola, and negotiations on signing an agreement between the parties on transatlantic partnership and investment.
