NSDC sums up results of truce

The truce allowed releasing the hostages, rotating personnel, restoring military equipment and getting support of the international community.
Spokesman of the NSDC Information-Analytical Center Andriy Lysenko told the preliminary results of the Minsk agreements at a press conference, a Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“We do not give a high praise, but we can make preliminary conclusions that from September 5, when a ceasefire was declared, a few hundred of our soldiers and civilians were released. In addition, we were able to recover military vehicles and receive the new ones, and to launch defense industry enterprises with a new rhythm of work. Also, we were able to redeploy the forces, to carry out intelligence work, to get more information about the enemy, to complete the third wave of mobilization and to replace those units that needed this, and to allow the military to relax after exhausting battles and to bring themselves back to normal,” Lysenko said.
However, he said, the regime of “silence” enabled to explain the real situation in Donbas to the international community.
“Just for this time, we managed to draw attention of the international community to real events in Donbas, because during active hostilities a few foreign partners understood what is happening. Now that the Ukrainian military are not advancing and are in their positions, it became abundantly clear what is happening in the territories, occupied by terrorists,” the Spokesman for the NSDC Information-Analytical Center said.
