NSDC proves stadium in Donetsk shelled by militants (photos)

Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) has provided photo evidence confirming that a shell, which killed two teenagers and injured four others at a stadium in Donetsk, was fired from the territory controlled by pro-Russian militants.
According to photos and maps posted on the website of the council’s information and analytical center, the nature of damage to the stadium allows restoring the trajectory of the shell and shows that it was launched from the area of Makiyivka, which is controlled by militants.
NSDC spokesman Andriy Lysenko said that the latest data indicate that the shelling was planned. “Why has a Russian television crew immediately appeared there? It has already been there, waiting for the incident. It was a planned action, at least according to preliminary information we have drawn this conclusion,” he said.
He said that the Security Service of Ukraine had opened criminal proceedings into the case and was now conducting the investigation.
He recalled that NSDC had repeatedly stated that terrorists were deliberately shelling residential areas in captured cities in order to blame the Ukrainian army for this.
As reported, a shell hit the stadium near School No. 63 in the Kuibyshevsky district of Donetsk on Wednesday evening, killing two teenagers and injuring another four.
