New version of bill on asset recovery to be submitted to Rada – MP

MPs from the parliamentary coalition intend to withdraw a draft law on special confiscation from the Verkhovna Rada and submit a new one, said Ivan Vinnyk, MP from the Bloc of Petro Poroshenko, the press service of the BPP reports.
”We have agreed on a new version of the bill with the Prosecutor General`s Office. The PGO believes that the new document will allow to recover efficiently the assets of [ousted president Viktor] Yanukovych and the funds of his entourage from [the accounts in] the Ukrainian banks in favor of the state budget,” he said.
According to Vinnyk, the draft law will be withdrawn today and another one will be submitted, taking into account all the comments to the previous document.
”We expect that on Thursday, we will be able to vote for the new bill as a basis and as a whole. Many MPs are determined to act exactly according to this plan in order to finally recover Yanukovych`s money in the state budget,” he said.
