Negotiations will eliminate disruptions of Russian coal supply – Demchyshyn

Newly elected Energy and Coal Industry Minister Volodymyr Demchyshyn believes that the problem of coal supplies from Russia can be solved through negotiations.
He said at his first press conference as minister, Ukrinform reports.
“There is a problem with the supply of imported coal from Russia, which was limited to some extent. I definitely think that this issue should be addressed in negotiations,” Demchyshyn said.
He added that he plans to hold talks with Centrenergo today, “who allegedly contracted a rather large batch of coal, which is in the process of delivery.” According to the minister, coal imports should be from all possible sources.
“It is also import from Australia, or whatever it can be. We have capacities to receive it,” Demchyshyn said.
Recall, former Energy Minister Yuriy Prodan reported that coal imports from Russia are carried out intermittently.
