NBU to announce decision on refinancing rate on June 23

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) will announce its updated monetary policy, including the refinancing rate, on Thursday, June 23.
According to the press service of the regulator, the relevant press conference of NBU Governor Valeria Gontareva will take place at 14:00 on June 23. The event will be attended by NBU Deputy Governors Dmytro Sologub and Oleh Churiy.
According to the report, the press conference on monetary policy decisions will be carried out within two hours following the relevant meeting of the Board, i.e. solutions to these issues have not yet been adopted.
Earlier, the National Bank of Ukraine has lowered the refinancing rate for two consecutive months – to 18% per annum from May 27 and to 19% per annum from April 22. It also declared its intention to continue to decline in the refinancing rate with a further moderation in consumer inflation.
