The National Bank of Ukraine on Tuesday evening lowered the official hryvnia exchange rate by 29 kopiykas, bringing the national currency to UAH 26.65 to the dollar.
The Central Bank set the following official exchange rates of the hryvnia against leading foreign currencies for December 28:
$100 costs UAH 2,665.0670 (on December 27, it was UAH 2,636.5578);
EUR 100 costs UAH 2,783.6625 (on December 27, it was UAH 2,754.1483);
10 RUB costs UAH 4.3791 (on December 27, it was UAH 4.3287).
On Tuesday, December 27, hryvnia quotations against the dollar on the interbank currency market by the close of trade settled at UAH 26.60/26.70 to the dollar.
Hryvnia quotes against the euro settled at UAH 27.8049/27.8961, while those against the Russian ruble settled at UAH 0.4376/0.4397.
According to the National Bank of Ukraine, the weighted average exchange rate of the hryvnia as of 17:00 was UAH 26.6507 to the dollar, with 530 deals concluded by this time worth a total of $332.64 million.
