The National Bank of Ukraine on Thursday evening lowered the official hryvnia exchange rate by four kopiykas, bringing the national currency to UAH 24.85 to the dollar.
The Central Bank set the following official exchange rates of the hryvnia against leading foreign currencies for August 12:
$100 costs UAH 2,485.0409 (on August 11, it was UAH 2,481.6590);
EUR 100 costs UAH 2,771.5661 (on August 11, it was UAH 2,775.4874);
10 RUB costs UAH 3.8261 (on August 11, it was UAH 3.8289).
On Thursday, August 11, hryvnia quotations against the dollar on the interbank currency market by the close of trade settled at UAH 24.9050/24.9400 to the dollar.
Hryvnia quotes against the euro settled at UAH 27.8110/27.8500, while those against the Russian ruble settled at UAH 0.3850/0.3870.
According to the National Bank of Ukraine, the weighted average exchange rate of the hryvnia as of 17:00 was UAH 24.8504 to the dollar, with 475 deals concluded by this time worth a total of $311.48 million.
