NATO-Ukraine Commission meeting in Warsaw to become platform for support – Stoltenberg

The upcoming meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Commission in the framework of a NATO summit in Warsaw will be an ”important platform” to express political support and discuss practical cooperation, according to NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, an UNIAN correspondent reported from Brussels.
”We have decided to convene a meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Commission in Warsaw as part of the summit. An that will be the second summit where we have the NATO-Ukraine Commission meeting. And I think that will be a very strong expression of our political support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. It will also provide a basis for us discussing how we can provide practical support for Ukraine,” said Stoltenberg at a press conference in the first day of the meeting of NATO foreign ministers answering a question of an UNIAN correspondent.
The NATO chief reminded that the Alliance and the NATO member states are providing ”strong political support for Ukraine and also practical support through our trust funds, through practical cooperation, institution building, training, and we will continue to do that.”
”I think that the NATO-Ukraine Commission meeting will be an important platform for expressing political support and developing our practical support for Ukraine,” said Stoltenberg.
