NATO-agreed large-scale reform of Def. Ministry to be completed by year-end

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine plans to complete transformation before the end of the year, Ukraine`s Deputy Defense Minister Ihor Dolhov told journalists at Ivan Cherniakhovskiy National Defense in Kyiv, according to an UNIAN correspondent.
”A large-scale reform of the Ministry of Defense has begun. This reform will be mostly completed before the end of the year, after which the General Staff and the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be reformed. All the steps are clearly defined, they are consistent with our advisors from the Alliance,” he said.
”During this year, five full-force battalions will be trained according to NATO standards at Yavoriv military training site,” Dolhov said.
”Moreover, this year, we have to create our own opportunities to train our own Ukrainian instructors who would work by these standards,” he said.
