National Guard gets new Ukrainian armored personnel carriers

Kyiv armored plant, which is part of state-run Ukroboronprom Concern, has shipped the first batch of six new BTR-3E1D armored personnel carriers to the National Guard of Ukraine, according to Ukroboronprom`s press service.The armored vehicles are equipped with the four-stroke six -cylinder water-cooled Deutz BF6M1015CP diesel engine and the Allison 3200SP-type automatic transmission.

”Our priority is that the military should be in full gear on the battlefield. We supply Ukrainian-made innovative models to the front, shifting the focus from the retrofitting of existing hardware to the production of new, ultra-modern equipment,” Ukroboronprom CEO Roman Romanov said.

As UaPosition reported earlier, state-run Ukroboronprom Concern, which unites major enterprises of Ukraine`s military and defense industry, shipped 501 pieces of military hardware and weapons to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, according to the concern`s press service.

”A total of 340 pieces of new equipment and weapons were supplied under agreements with the Ukrainian defense agencies. They included 180 missile and artillery systems, 100 units of ammunition, 37 units of encryption and radio equipment, 19 new armored tanks and vehicles,” the company said.
