National Joint Stock Company Naftogaz of Ukraine has projected a net profit of UAH 16-18 billion by the end of 2016.
”In the first half of the year (H1), profit will amount to UAH 21 billion. We project UAH 16-18 billion in total profit this year,” Naftogaz CEO Andriy Kobolev said on air to Ukrainian Channel 5.
He noted that the annual profit, which is based on the entire year`s result, would be lower than the result recorded in H1, since the expected loss from the sale of gas to households in Q1 2017, would be reflected in the 2016 financial statements.
As UNIAN reported earlier, Naftogaz reported a net income of UAH 112.76 billion for 2015, which is 51% higher than the previous year.
The gross profit of Naftogaz in 2015 amounted to UAH 12.5 billion against a loss of UAH 11 billion in 2014. However, the company`s net loss in 2015 amounted to UAH 25 billion, compared with a net loss of UAH 89.9 billion in 2014, according to the report.
