The Finance Ministry expects that Naftogaz of Ukraine deficit will be UAH 31.5 billion next year.
Deputy Finance Minister Ihor Umansky told a briefing Wednesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“UAH 31.5 billion is in the draft budget to compensate a difference to Naftogaz for the purchase of imported gas, which is used by communal heating enterprises for population with the prices that are in effect today, according to a schedule of the change of these prices that is laid down for next year,” Umansky noted.
According to him, if a schedule of the change of prices and import prices change, than the amount of compensation may respectively be adjusted.
“We discussed this with the International Monetary Fund and the NJSC Naftogaz presented its calculations, which were estimated by the International Monetary Fund. We handed over our estimates to them at UAH 31.5 billion, i.e. they know about this.”
