MPs planning to form government next month

Ukrainian MPs are planning to vote for the appointment of the prime minister and the parliament speaker at today’s meeting of the Verkhovna Rada and complete talks on the government composition by next Tuesday, December 2.
The head of the Bloc of Petro Poroshenko faction in parliament, Yuriy Lutsenko, said this in the Verkhovna Rada on Thursday, a Ukrinform correspondent reported.
“On the first day we will elect the Verkhovna Rada chairman, the prime minister, and in a few days we will form a complete Ukrainian government. I think that this will happen by Tuesday,” Lutsenko said.
He said that formal consultations on ministers would begin only after the appointment of the prime minister.
He said that after that the coalition would put forward its proposals to the newly appointed head of government. The prime minister, in turn, will analyze and submit them for consideration by parliament.
