Minsk agreements may appear at the political garbage heap, if separatists hold their elections.
Head of the Center of Applied Studies Penta Volodymyr Fesenko told a press conference, a Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“As a means of self-protection, leaders of the “DPR” and “LPR” proposed to hold the elections on November 2… if these elections take place, if Russia recognizes them, it is all, then minimum than half of the Minsk process will be frustrated, will be at the political garbage heap,” Fesenko said.
He noted that Ukraine does not go to legalization of these self-proclaimed formations, instead, it proposes to hold local elections in some districts of Donbas in December 2014.
“An idea to hold local elections in the occupied districts is aimed at demounting those “Republics,” so that instead local self-government bodies appeared,” Fesenko said.
