Militant lose about 60% of their forces in the fight for the Donetsk airport.
Head of the Right Sector Information Center, newly elected people’s deputy of Ukraine Boryslav Bereza told on air of the Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty.
“Our forces and Right Sector battalions successfully fight against the enemy. We do not retreat and, moreover, today the militants stopped to burst ahead, since they understood hopelessness of the situation… the number of losses is about 60 percent among those attacking,” Bereza said.
At the same time, he referred to a conversation with Right Sector head Dmytro Yarosh, who is now in the combat zone.
Bereza also noted strategic importance of defense of the Donetsk airport.
“This is a strategic point, we will not retreat from there, this is close to Donetsk, from here both shelling and overview of the whole territory can be made… as well as further offensive,” Bereza said.
