A group of 13 Ukrainian medics has been released from captivity of the Islamic State terrorist organization, according to Ukraine`s Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin.
According to the report, the medical workers have been taken to a safe place.
”The good news: 13 Ukrainian medics who have been held captive by ISIL were released and taken to the Libyan town of Bin Jawad. We are in constant contact with them,” Klimkin tweeted Tuesday afternoon.
As UNIAN reported earlier, over 120 Ukrainians are being held in militant captivity in Donbas, while about 800 are listed as missing in action (MIA), that`s according to Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko who spoke at a forum titled ”Ukraine`s Battle for Freedom Continues” in Washington late March.
