Lukashenko to Poroshenko: I was executor of your proposal

Belarus is interested in normalizing the situation in Ukraine.
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said this at a meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart Petro Poroshenko in Minsk on Tuesday, BelTA reported.
“It was your proposal to meet without any fuss and make decisions after the signing by Ukraine of the Association Agreement with the EU in order to clear up the situation, which was recorded in the economy at that time… It was a proposal of the Ukrainian president, and you asked me to bring it to my colleagues. I was the executor. I did everything in order to bring your point of view to them, and now there is a respective reaction from members of the Customs Union,” Lukashenko said.
He also said that if there were no will of the Ukrainian president, there would be no meeting in Minsk. “It means that Ukraine is extremely interested in normalizing the situation on Ukrainian land, in the heart of Europe, and Belarus is especially interested in this. You know our position,” Lukashenko said.
