Linseed exports from Ukraine three times lower this season

Linseed exports from Ukraine totaled 4.8 KMT in November 2016/17 that is 14% more than last month (4.2 KMT) and 7% more than in November 2015 (4.5 KMT), UkrAgroConcult reports.

Despite November`s upward trend in exports, their three-month total amounted to just a third of the volume exported in the same period last year: 13.3 KMT against 40 KMT, respectively, according to UkrAgroConsult.

A peculiarity of the current season (September-November) was shrinking capacity of the current outlet markets with a widening range of export destinations. So, more than 40 countries imported Ukrainian linseed in the three months of MY 2016/17. The top linseed consumers remain the same: Vietnam with an export share of some 46% (6.1 KMT), European countries with almost 35% (4.6 KMT) and Egypt with 4.5% (0.6 KMT).
