Latvian FM: Dutch referendum results should not affect our support of Ukraine

Latvian Foreign Minister Edgar Rinkevics has said the result of the Dutch referendum on the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement should not affect the support of Ukraine by EU countries.
”The Dutch referendum on EU-UA Association agreement should not affect our support to Ukraine, shows the need to address key EU challenges,” Rinkevics wrote on Twitter.
As UaPosition reported earlier, according to data by Dutch ANP VERKIEZINGSDIENST electoral agency, published by NOS TV Channel, the turnout of the April 6 referendum in the Netherlands on the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement was 32.2%, with 61.1% of the voters having said `No` to the deal.
The final results of the referendum will be announced on April 12. The Dutch government is yet to decide on the ratification of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement given the non-binding nature of the referendum, which is advisory to the authorities.
