Kotsiuba new President of Ukraine`s Antonov design bureau

Antonov design bureau, Ukrainian aircraft manufacturing and services company and part of the state-run Ukroboronprom Concern, which will be the core of the Ukrainian Aircraft Cluster, has a new chief.
According to Antonov`s press service, Oleksandr Kotsiuba became the new president. Kotsiuba previously held the post of first vice president.
He was appointed by special order of Ukroboronprom that oversees operations of Antonov state enterprise.
Commenting on the appointment, Kotsiuba stressed that he would follow the principles of the company`s founder – Oleh Antonov.
”The staff is our main value. As of today, the development foundation of the state-owned Antonov aircraft design bureau has been laid, and we have set ourselves to achieve good results in maintaining the capacity of the national aviation industry. Antonov`s success is the success of the Ukrainian State,” Antonov`s press service quoted Kotsiuba as saying.
UNIAN memo. The state-owned enterprise Antonov is the manufacturer of cargo, passenger, and special purpose aircraft. Among the company`s most recognized projects are An-32, An-148, An-158, An-74, An-124, An-70, and An-225 (”Mriya”, the longest and heaviest airplane ever built). In the first nine months of 2015, Antonov has increased its net profit by more than eight times – up to UAH 274 million.
