Kobolev: Ukraine to buy all gas in EU if Gazrpom fails to sign add. deal

Ukraine can buy all natural gas required for pumping into the underground storage facilities from the European companies if the Russian gas monopoly Gazprom does not sign an additional agreement to the contract for the purchase of gas from 2009, Naftogaz CEO Andriy Kobolev said during a press conference.
”As of today, Gazprom has not signed an additional agreement, which would give us the ability to import Russian natural gas in the third quarter,” Kobolev said.
At the same time, he stressed that in such conditions, Ukraine could fully cover its fuel demand with imports from the EU.
Kobolev also said that the purchase of gas from Gazprom would depend on the attractiveness of price offers from this company.
