Klitschko: 80% of Kyiv residents don’t support Maidan in its present condition

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko at Saturday’s clean-up event told those who remain on the Maidan that the main square of the country should not have the appearance it has today.
“80% of Kyiv residents today do not support the existence of the Maidan in its current condition,” he said from the stage after negotiations with the commanders.
According to the mayor, the Maidan square should look “European”, there should not be shots, explosions, and there is no need to beat journalists there.
At the same time, Klitschko said he was not against the tents, but not on Khreshchatyk Street.
The mayor added that during negotiations, Maidan activists handed over to him a memorandum, which he promised to study.
