The Finance Ministry and the National Bank of Ukraine are looking for a way to return depositor’s funds that have been frozen on the accounts of Kyiv Bank.
Finance Minister Natalie Jaresko wrote this on her Facebook page.
“The Finance Ministry of Ukraine is working with the National Bank in order to find adequate ways out of this situation, taking into account the interests of the bank’s clients,” she said.
The bank’s depositors have repeatedly complained that the state-owned Kyiv Bank appropriated their money and did not allow them to dispose it for a few months.
As reported, Kyiv Bank came under state control during its recapitalization in 2013.
