Japan to allocate almost $14 mln for re-building Ukraine`s east

Japan is about to allocate $13.6 million for re-building Ukraine`s eastern regions affected by war, an UNIAN correspondent reported referring to President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko`s statement made at a joint press conference with Japan`s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe after their meeting in Tokyo on Wednesday.
”I would like to thank the government of Japan and Mr. Prime Minister for provision of financial, technical and humanitarian aid to Ukraine,” Poroshenko said.
In particular, the Ukrainian president said he appreciated Japan`s decision to provide a new tranche of humanitarian aid to the tune of $13.6 million for re-building the eastern regions in Ukraine.
”Ukraine is a major beneficiary of Japan`s financial assistance,” Poroshenko added.
