Hontareva says IMF satisfied with National Bank

The mission of the International Monetary Fund has noted the implementation of its recommendations by the National Bank of Ukraine.
National Bank Governor Valeria Hontareva said this at a meeting with the heads of the largest Ukrainian banks, the National Bank of Ukraine reported on its official Facebook page.
“Our colleagues from the IMF confirmed the National Bank’s implementation of all recommendations of the fund,” Hontareva said.
She also stressed the importance of international community’s support of financial stability of Ukraine. In particular, she said that the European Union intends to allocate EUR 1.8 billion of macro-financial assistance for Ukraine, and the U.S. plans to allocate up to $2 billion in loan guarantees.
As reported, the third stage of the work of the IMF European Department mission to complete the second review of Ukraine’s implementation of the stand-by program began on January 12, 2015. The IMF mission is expected to work in Kyiv until January 29.
