Groysman urges Rada to adopt law on special confiscation

Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has called on People`s Deputies to adopt the draft law on special confiscation as early as during the next plenary week, noting that the new law would allow accumulating in the state budget $1.5 billion of funds, stolen by the Yanukovych regime.

”I am calling on you to vote for this law on Tuesday or Thursday to restore justice,” Groysman said during the hour of questions to the government in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

Earlier Groysman noted that the blocking by the Verkhovna Rada of the process of the recovery of assets stolen by the Yanukovych regime may lead to the fact that this money would be lost for good.

In mid-September, the Cabinet tabled in Parliament a revised draft law on the confiscation of assets.
