Groysman requests SBU check alleged ties of energy minister advisor with ”LPR-DPR”

Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman rules out the appointment of the current adviser to the Energy Minister Yuriy Ziukov to the post of Deputy Head of the Ministry of Energy if the information about his collaboration with the militants of the Donetsk and Luhansk People`s Republic terrorist organizations is confirmed.
”If the information is confirmed, this man will not work in the government. I appeal to the SBU Security Service of Ukraine to verify the information provided. If it is confirmed, I will ask to take all measures necessary,” Groysman said during the parliament`s hour of questions to the government on Friday.
According to Ukrainian Energy Minister Ihor Nasalyk, if the information about the involvement of Ziukov in the activities of LPR/DPR is confirmed, ”he should be in prison.”
However, Nasalyk pointed out that there was a public council in the ministry, which consists of more than 70 members from all sectors: coal mining, gas and energy industries. ”If the council has submitted a proposal to appoint this person to the post of adviser, I had to take this into account,” he said.
