Government sacks deputy minister for permitting electricity imports from Russia

The Cabinet of Ministers at a meeting on Wednesday dismissed Ukrainian Deputy Energy and Coal Industry Minister Vadym Ulyda.
Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers Ostap Semerak told this to reporters on Wednesday, a Ukrinform correspondent reported.
“We responded to the Energy and Coal Industry Ministry’s decision to approve electricity imports from Russia. A respective permit was signed by former Deputy Minister Vadym Ulyda. Today he was dismissed,” Semerak said.
He said that a respective order would soon be posted on the government portal.
