Government considering unilateral demarcation of border with Russia

The Ukrainian government is considering a draft presidential decree on the launch of unilateral demarcation of the state border between Ukraine and Russia.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk said this at a cabinet meeting on Wednesday, a Ukrinform correspondent reported.
“Today, at a government meeting, I would like us to adopt a draft decree of the Ukrainian president, which foresees the launch of unilateral demarcation of the state border between Ukraine and Russia,” Yatseniuk said.
He said that Russia again fails to fulfill its obligations and the joint Ukrainian-Russian demarcation commission was not working, which is why “the government is deciding on the adoption of a presidential decree on unilateral demarcation of the state border, respective equipment of the state border and the extension of the European Wall project.”
