Gerashchenko: Russia accusing Ukraine of all mortal sins to end sanctions

Russia is trying to get rid of international sanctions by claiming alleged Ukrainian provocations in the occupied territory of Crimea, Iryna Gerashchenko, first deputy chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada and Ukraine`s representative in the humanitarian subgroup of the Trilateral contact group on Donbas settlement, posted on Facebook.

”The aim of the Russian Federation is to remove sanctions by any means, and it is therefore accusing Ukraine of all mortal sins, such as terrorism, sabotage, violations, non-fulfillment and delays. We have no reason to play along with this scenario,” she said.

Gerashchenko also said all political forces need to support the position of Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko regarding Russian provocations in connection with the ”terrorist attacks” in Crimea.
