Gazprom’s delegation laves talks in Brussels

Gazprom’s delegation has left trilateral gas talks between Ukraine, Russia and the EU, which started in Brussels on Wednesday and returned to Moscow.
Gazprom spokesperson Sergei Kupriyanov said this on Thursday, RIA Novosti reported.
“We will return if there is something to talk about. The European Commission and Ukraine should resolve a number of issues related to funding. And without that it makes no sense for us to continue the talks in a trilateral format,” Kupriyanov said.
He said that Gazprom was waiting for information about the course of negotiations between the European Commission and Ukraine, including “movements on a bilateral protocol EU-Ukraine protocol” that would involve financial guarantees from the EU on the payment by Ukraine for Russian gas.
As reported, trilateral talks between Russia, Ukraine and the European Commission on gas supplies were expected to continue on the evening of October 30.
