Gazprom bluffing about lawsuit for reverse – expert

Russian gas monopoly Gazprom is bluffing, claiming that the reverse supply of fuel from the EU to Ukraine contradicts to contracts.
This view was expressed by energy expert, chairman of the board of the Alliance “New Energy of Ukraine” Valeriy Borovyk during a press conference on Tuesday, a Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“All the reverse that goes to Ukraine, is legal. If at least one cubic meter of gas was placed illegally, Gazprom lawyers, who are sitting not only in Moscow, but also in Europe, would have already filed a lawsuit. If no lawsuits, it means that the reverse is legal,” he said.
However, the expert is convinced, limiting the volumes of gas supplies to Europe by Gazprom is unfounded.
Earlier, Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak warned EU member states to suspend gas supplies through reverse of fuel to Ukraine by these countries, which is allegedly contrary to existing contracts.
