Four of eight wounded Ukrainian soldiers in critical condition– doctor

Chief Physician of Dnipropetrovsk Regional Mechnikov Clinical Hospital Serhiy Ryzhenko says that four out of eight wounded Ukrainian soldiers who have been taken to Dnipropetrovsk hospitals in the past 24 hours are in a critical condition, according to Radio Free Europe /Radio Liberty (RFE/RL).
One of the soldiers was rushed to the Ukrainian Defense Ministry`s military hospital in the city of Dnipropetrovsk, the others were taken to Mechnikov hospital, he told RFE/RL on April 13.
”The four men are critically injured in intensive care, another three wounded soldiers are in a trauma center,” Ryzhenko said.
The youngest of the wounded is 20 years old, he is very gravely wounded, the head doctor said. Another soldier, who is 23 years old, has penetrating injuries of an eye, the chest and abdominal cavity, he is now on life support, he added.
As UaPosition reported earlier, no Ukrainian soldiers were killed in the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) zone in eastern Ukraine in the last day, but eight Ukrainian troops were wounded.
Presidential Administration spokesman for the ATO issues Andriy Lysenko said at a briefing in Kyiv on Wednesday that all of them had been wounded in the Donetsk sector. Three of them received injuries in shelling, and another five were wounded when a Ukrainian infantry carrier hit a land mine.
