Expert predicts $4 billion as investment in Ukraine

The raising of $4 billion as foreign investment in Ukraine is expected next year.
Vice-President of the Private Investors Association of Ukraine Ihor Tiutiushkin said this to journalists, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
“We expect that the inflow of investment in Ukraine will begin next year. It is driven by international financial institutions that declared and signed a corresponding agreement to invest $3 billion in Ukraine. The inflow of another $1 billion is expected from a private investor,” he said.
According to the expert, the EBRD and the EIB will support investment in the development of the agricultural sector (its reorientation for export), energy efficiency projects and projects on rehabilitation of infrastructure that was destroyed during the armed conflict in the east of the country. In addition, support will be provided to the displaced businessmen who are trying to upgrade their own business on the territories under Ukraine’s control.
