Exchange of prisoners may start on December 27 – Ukrainian Defense Ministry

The exchange of detained active members of illegal armed groups in Donbas for Ukrainian servicemen who are being held by militants could begin on Saturday, December 27.
An advisor to the Ukrainian deputy defense minister, Vasyl Budyk, told this to an Ukrinform correspondent.
“The exchange is tentatively expected tomorrow. If all goes well, the exchange will begin tomorrow,” Budyk said.
He did not rule out that the exchange process could take a few days, “if we fail to cope with that in one day.”
However, Budnyk declined to name the number of Ukrainian military who will be freed from captivity.
As reported, the SBU chief’s advisor, Markiyan Lubkivsky, confirmed on Thursday that the agreement to exchange 225 separatists for 150 Ukrainian servicemen remained in force.
