Today the European Parliament will vote on the resolution on situation in Ukraine, which should become a powerful political message in support for the state.
The vote will take place during a plenary meeting of the EU legislative body, an Ukrinform correspondent reported from Strasbourg.
Among the general political views of the EP liberal-democratic majority, which will be included in the consolidated version of the resolution, MEPs will note the need for urgent European reforms on the implementation of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement, despite tough security situation.
The aggressive policy of Russia, jeopardizing Ukraine and Europe, is harshly condemned in the document against the background of support for the Ukraine’s sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity.
The previous day, the debates on Ukraine were held in the European Parliament with the participation of the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini. MEPs mainly supported Ukraine under the conditions of Russia’s military aggression and criticized the hesitancy of the EU policy on responding to conflict.
