European Parliament says ready to grant Ukraine additional trade preferences

The European Parliament is ready to take a decision on granting Ukraine the additional trade preferences on the proposal of the European Commission, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine reported on Twitter, referring to chairman of the INTA committee (International Trade) of the European Parliament Bernd Lange.

The comment came on the EP readiness to grant Ukraine more trade preferences came during Lange`s meeting with First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economic Development and Trade Stepan Kubiv in Brussels.

Earlier, in October 2016, the European Union agreed to expand quotas for the Ukrainian exports of cereals, tomatoes, honey, fertilizers, footwear, electronic equipment, and certain metals.
